Welcome to Protea Guesthouse (“the Guesthouse”). By using our website and booking services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

Booking and Reservations

2.1. Booking Confirmation: All reservations made through our website are subject to availability and confirmation by the Guesthouse. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking for any reason.

2.2. Booking Details: Please provide accurate and complete information during the booking process. Any changes or modifications to your booking must be communicated to us promptly.

2.3. Payment: Payment for your stay will be facilitated through Paystack or other authorized payment methods. We do not store your payment information.

Rates and Taxes

3.1. Rates: The rates displayed on our website are subject to change without notice. The final rate for your stay will be confirmed at the time of booking.

3.2. Taxes: Prices listed do not include applicable taxes or fees, which will be added to your bill as required by law.

4.1. Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy varies depending on the type of room and the time of cancellation. Please refer to the specific cancellation policy provided at the time of booking.

4.2. Refunds: Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to our cancellation policy. Please allow up to 3-5 business days for refunds to be processed.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@proteaguesthouse.co.za.

Check-in and Check-out

5.1. Check-in: Check-in time is 02:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability.

5.2. Check-out: Check-out time is 10:00 AM. Late check-out may incur additional charges.

Guest Responsibility

6.1. Behavior: Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner during their stay. We reserve the right to evict guests who engage in disruptive behavior without a refund.

6.2. Damages: Guests are financially liable for any damages caused to the property during their stay and may be charged accordingly.

Liability

7.1 We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings or vehicles during your stay.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

8.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in South Africa.
